The most important stage in cleaning a vehicle is the actual washing.

For greater efficiency, a pre-wash is recommended. This removes as many contaminants as possible from the bodywork and windows to reduce the risk of micro-scratches.

Pre-washing precedes vehicle washing. It's usually done with a foam gun or lance. The foam will cling to the dirt and other contaminants, making them disappear when the car is rinsed.
